There have been times, especially lately, when I look at dark-haired ladies with something akin to envy, and I briefly consider going from redhead to ravenhead. But then a photoshoot like this happens - with the sun making everything glow - and I decide that I am actually quite happy with my hair. There's something magical about the golden hour, and I'm very glad Chris and I were able to capture it. It's so fleeting.
I'm a little bit overwhelmed by all the attention this little old blog has been getting in the past week! Between mentions on Tieka's blog and being featured on ModCloth's blog and Tumblr, I've picked up more than a few new readers here. Welcome! I'm still trying to catch up with my inbox, so bear with me. I've had a busy week - perhaps best illustrated by the fact that my Bloglovin' reading list stands at a daunting 296 unread posts. I'm eager for the evening when I can make a big mug of homemade hot chocolate and make a dent in that list.
Speaking of homemade, I'm hoping that I'll have lots of cozy cold-weather recipes to share soon! Daylight savings time has made it harder than ever to do photos for outfit posts (it's already dark by the time I get home from work), so I think this blog may become a little bit more food focused in this cold season.
Though all is warm and golden in these photos, we're actually experiencing our first snowfall of the season here - so that's my cue to curl up with Chris and a hot drink and watch some Doctor Who. Have a great week, everyone!
I have been having a hard time taking pictures ever since daylight savings time too! The pictures in this post are positively gorgeous, however, and I love the blue gingham with yellow <3

I often get hair envy for red heads but I know I wouldnt be able to keep up with the upkeep so I have to admire from afar. I adore your hair color and considering how hard it is to go from a dark color to a light hair color I would have to say stick with it unless you are 100% positive its what you want. On another note, I am loving this fall outfit to pieces :)
ReplyDeleteI love love love your pretty hair! I once dyed my hair that shade of red and loved it but it had to go shortly after a yearbecause i couldnt keep up with it!
ReplyDeleteLove this outfit!

You're not a natural redhead?!?! Mind. Blown.
ReplyDeleteI love this hair color, so I wouldn't change a thing :) I am considering adding more red to my hair. Do you dye your hair yourself? If so, are there any brands/colors you really like?

I get that "let's dye my hair a brown color" urge once in a while too! Then I'm like, "No, can't do it. It will forever be red." Also, I love love the blue checkered top with your yellow skirt.
ReplyDeleteTotally lovely as ever!

You are so cute I can hardly stand it. Your vintage style is adorable. The gingham top is darling, and I love the sweet look of those wedges with the tights. I adore the color scheme too! You make brown look far from boring.
ReplyDeleteMay the force be with you.
